Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Mirin (Japanese Sweet Rice Wine)
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon Oyster Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar

Directions

Mix all ingredients together and blend well.

This sauce is great when poured over choy sum or baby bok choy, simply cooked in boiling water for about 1 minute or until slightly wilted.

Drain, squeeze out excess water, cut into 2″ lengths, arrange on a plate and drizzle sauce over it and serve.

*This recipe was taken from Sam Choy’s Island Flavors cookbook, one of my favorite island recipe cookbooks.
