Ingredients
- 1/3 cup Soy sauce
- 1/3 cup Water
- 1/3 cup Sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons Red Wine Vinegar
- 5-6 packets artificial sweetener (Splenda or Truvia)
Directions
This is my dad's recipe that I have become hooked on. What's great about this dressing is that even non-diabetics will love it! Because it relies on sesame oil for its flavoring, you cannot taste the sugar substitutes "aftertaste" that bothers some people.
You do not cook the ingredients and there is no need to refrigerate it. Simply combine all the ingredients and shake! I put mine in a used dressing bottle since they have a smaller opening and make it easier to control the amount I use.
Lightly sprinkle on your salad and toss, a little goes a long way.
This dressing is not only very flavorful, but there are reputed health benefits associated with sesame oil. But, be that as it may, I think you'll enjoy it...unless you don't like sesame seed oil, that is.
And, yes, if you're not diabetic and don't have any artificial sweetener around, you can substitute equal amounts of sugar. I should add that *"Truvia" and *"Stevia in the Raw" are not really "artificial" sweeteners, but an extract from the stevia plant.
